Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need prior skiing experience?
No, our tours are suitable for all levels.
How long does a tour last?
The tour takes about 2-3 hours to complete.
Do I need to be in good physical shape to join the tour?
Our tours are designed to be enjoyable for most people with a basic level of fitness. Cross-country skiing is a low-impact activity, but some endurance is required. If you have any health concerns, please contact us before booking.
Is there an age limit for the tour?
In general, we recommend our tours for ages 12 and up. Participants should be able to follow basic instructions and move independently on skis. For tour requests involving younger participants, feel free to reach out. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We operate in most weather conditions, but in extreme cases (storms, dangerous cold), we may need to cancel for a refund or reschedule the tour for safety reasons.
What is included in the tour?
Our tours include rental of ski equipment (ski, boots and poles), a professional guide and some snacks and warm drinks.
How do I book a tour?
You will always get the best price directly through our website by clicking the Book your tour-button. Alternatively you can book through GetYourGuide, TripAdvisor (Viator), or AirBnB Experiences.
Can I take photos during the tour?
Absolutely! We encourage guests to take photos, and our guides are happy to help capture the moment.
Is there parking available?
Yes, paid parking is available near our meeting point. You can use the EasyPark-app for convenient payment.
What is the difference between a daytime and an evening ski tour?
The daytime tour lets you experience Tromsø’s stunning Arctic landscapes in natural light, while the evening tour offers a magical experience under the night sky. On clear nights, you might see the Northern Lights, but this depends on weather conditions.
Will I see the Northern Lights on the evening tour?
While we can’t guarantee it, there is a good chance of seeing the Northern Lights during the evening tour when conditions are favorable.
What should I wear?
We recommend wearing warm, layered clothing to stay comfortable throughout the tour. A good outer layer that’s windproof and water-resistant is recommended if it’s snowing or raining. Don’t forget warm gloves and a hat.
